1st Industry Job: 1995 Midays at a small Classic Rock station in Tulsa, Oklahoma (94.1 The Hawk). I was 22 years old so I had my eye on our new sister station that had just flipped to Alternative that year. I convinced the morning guy to let me sit in and do his sports reports for him. I would hang out in the studio the whole morning and they just ended up just putting me on the show. I have been here ever since.
1st Concert: Violent Femmes and BoDeans in Milwaukee, WI 1986
1st Record Purchased: Duran Duran – Seven and the Ragged Tiger (The Reflex is still one of my favorite 80’s songs)
1st Artist Interview: It had to have been lead singer of Gravity Kills Jeff Scheel who later on in life became a great friend. I think they may have played three shows for us in about a year and a half time span.
